Flour Mills

Milling is of the most traditional crafts, but is based on the latest technologies today. MMW Technology GmbH is a supplier of cutting-edge technology and guarantees high-quality solutions. System sizes designed by MMW start at a processing capacity of ca. 100 t/24h and according to customer requirements processing lines of up to 600 t/24 h are available. Several lines of the same or different capacity can be combined, customized and integrated into larger milling systems according to customer wishes. The use of modern technology contributes to product quality and low specific costs in EURO per tons.

Technologically, milling techniques for the production of flours from different grains vary, although essentially the same main machines such as roller mills and plansifters are used. These particular machines are supplemented by any combined with a series of special machines. Machine configuration and individual milling diagrams contribute significantly to the maximum yield of the desired end product and ensure high quality at low costs.

Starch Mills

The increasing importance of renewable raw materials can also be felt in the milling industry. Typically used as industrial flours and milling products in the baking industry, grains are also finding use in bio-ethanol plants and even more so in the starch industry. Approximately 45 million tons of starch are produced worldwide. In Germany, based on the use of potatoes, corn and wheat are about 1.5 million tons produced.

When milling wheat, high quality gluten (wheat gluten) and starch can be extracted. The starch is used in a variety of ways either as pure or modified starch. Through special refinement, products such as liquid sugars (for the beverage industry) as well as high-quality amino acids (as feed additives) can be made from starch.

Technologically, milling techniques for the production of industrially milled products differ from those of bakery flour, although essentially the same main machines such as roller mills and plansifters are used. Products such as flours and bran undergo the additional step of wet processing. Special mill designs are needed to meet the different requirements of the finished products as well as the need for significantly higher throughput rates. Milling parameters for roller mills and screen selection for the plansifters are especially adapted for the desired end product.

The machines must be reliable, high precision, robust, flexible, and adjustable in order to facilitate around the clock usage. As such overall project coordination between dry milling technology providers and wet refining processes is very challenging. MMW Technology GmbH provides high-quality milling machines fur turnkey mills.
